Conscious Made is an independent brand and design studio based in Manchester that redefines and reimagines brands with clarity and differentiation. Conscious Made provides immersive design and brand consultancy services with health and wellness at its core. Combining three dimensions of wellbeing design: insightful thinking, human-centred emotional design and multisensory experiences. They set themselves apart with focus on enriching wellbeing and a passion for sustainability, with extensive print and material knowledge. Their name is derived from the compression of the phrase: ‘Where conscious thoughts, feelings and sensory experiences are made’ — a conceptual definition of the three brand dimensions of how they improve wellbeing through design. This science-informed design process brings heightened conscious awareness of, and responsibility towards people — designed to feed the mind, warm the heart and please the senses. I felt like I resonated with Laura's style and concepts of sustainability and wellness from the start. When I was looking for a designer who could help refine and elevate my existing brand so that I had a consistent tone of voice and aesthetic across my different channels, Laura came to mind! Part of the brief included an audit of my existing typography, colour palettes and photography and then distilling it into a brand guidelines document. We also looked at applying the brand to elements of the website, some printed materials, a newsletter and social cards. It was a great experience working with Laura - I felt like she heard me, took my vision and elevated it but without diluting it’s original intent or essence and really just brought it to life. She’s thorough, organised, friendly and I always looked forward to our weekly progress check-in calls. She’s incredibly smart and creative and went above and beyond in adding some touches to the brand (like a monogram) that I didn’t even think of! I fully intend on reaching out to Laura for any future design projects and would highly recommend her if you are looking for a designer.
Laura designed my branding. She was wonderful to work with. She really understood the brief and my business. She articulated and shared the design process so well, this way of working allowed me to influence the design at each stage to make sure it reflected the business perfectly. Laura is one of the most talented and passionate individuals I have ever had the privilege to work with. Her vision is incredible and a real breath of fresh air.
