As very young children, my parents took my brother, sister and me many interesting places; from the Colorado Rockies to the Smoky Mountains to the Olympics in Mexico City. They instilled a love of adventure and an insatiable hunger for exploring new places. Years later, as I was raising and teaching our five children, I remember thinking how thrilling it would be to actually visit the places I was teaching about; especially the historic sights. Recently my mother and I had the opportunity to visit our daughter/granddaughter and her husband, Kyle Wilson, of Wichita State fame. They have lived in various countries in Europe during his career as a professional basketball player. Kyle inspired us to fulfill our dream of world travel and adventure. Since that day, Mom and I have visited 78 countries around the world, seen all but one of the continents, cruised the seven seas and made numerous, rich friendships along the way. As my youngest child graduated from high school, I began to entertain the possibility of helping others to explore this fantastic world by owning my own travel business. Some friends we met on one of our cruises, Chris and Helen Malan, contacted me about a new travel business they had started in their hometown of Withington, Gloucestershire, England called Cruise Holidays. As they spoke of the wonderful company they worked for, I knew I wanted to be part of it too. Thanks to the encouragement and support of my parents, husband, children and friends, I embarked on this exciting, new career in travel and cruising. That was twelve years ago, my goodness where has the time gone! Vacations and travel are so much more than just getting on an airplane, boarding a cruise ship or checking into a fabulous resort. Vacations are about the memories that one carries always, the new found friendships along the way, the history and learning experiences to be had. Travel is my passion and I am truly blessed to be able to share my knowledge with my clients and friends.
