Elizabeth Holmes Travel Inc. (EHTI) was founded in 1991. After over 20 years in Fremont, the self-proclaimed center of the Universe in Seattle, we are now in Georgetown. We have enjoyed continuous, steady growth even through the biggest travel industry slumps, largely through word of mouth. We have also become trusted consultants and suppliers to tour operators and travel media entities including Rick Steves' Europe Through the Back Door, Rudy Maxa, the Savvy Traveller, Earthbound Expeditions and Tofino Expeditions. Most recently we were recommended in the National Geographic’s Adventure Magazine for travel to and within Australia. Our service goal is “first class service at discount prices” and we work to honor our commitment. We don’t sell travel to places we haven’t visited – well, OK we do, but between us, we’ve been just about everywhere. We all have personal experiences and preferences we are eager to share with you, no matter where you are going. We know our business, and we’re all travelers who love talking about and selling travel. This website will introduce surfers and our regular clients alike to current information and airfares. We can’t begin to cover every city in the world, but we hope the selection of destinations and fares will demonstrate why you should give us a call. Speaking of calling, you will notice that we are not ‘into’ e-commerce. You have to call. Our business model is built around enough personal interaction that we know your real needs and preferences and can help you plan accordingly. Try booking an airline seat for your viola on Expedia!

Got a chuckle out of the name. Not Theranos. Was looking for a traditional travel agent so as to avoid all the fraud of online ticket pricing.
I have been very happy with Elizabeth Holmes Travel when handling our recent overseas flight reservations, and I look forward to continuing to use them in the future. Sometimes folks have said "I can get a better deal online." But I've tried that... AND been stranded overseas when the airline I had used to "get the best price online" CEASED OPERATIONS the day I was scheduled to fly home. Seriously. Been there, done that. Not fun. I learned an important lesson that day as I watched fellow travelers call their travel agents and promptly get booked onto alternate flights back to the States. I was left scrambling, however, because there was no one for me to call (the airline's customer service center had shut down along with the rest of the company). I literally had to go from airline counter to airline counter at Gatwick until I found one who would sell me a last minute one-way ticket—for which I had to pay 150% more than my "bargain" round-trip ticket (which was now effectively worthless). That's the day I learned the true value of having a travel agent. Indeed, having a good travel agent is more than just the convenience of having someone handle the reservations and ticketing. An effective travel agent is also a "safety net" when things go awry. And based on their reputation, I believe Elizabeth Holmes Travel is who I want to be able to call to help sort things out when needed.
The entire Elizabeth Holmes Travel team is a delight to work with! Scheduling my trip with them was easy and quick. Their office is efficient and kind - exactly what I was looking for! Can't wait to book my next trip with them :)
