Wife, mother and paper enthusiast, I'm always ready to start on my next creative venture. My passion for design began as I created my own wedding invitations. Overwhelmed and underwhelmed with the choices I was offered, I took a dive into my own creativity and designed my very first suite. As the years went on, I was asked to design for close friends and family until Shayla Parker Design was born.

Working with Shayla was truly a gift this past summer as we prepared for our July 2021 wedding. With less than three months left until my wedding day and a looming global pandemic, we found ourselves very behind on wedding planning as we tracked the virus to see if our postponed wedding date would happen with our loved ones as we intended. As such, we waited last minute to start trying to find the right invitations for our big day, to the point where ordering samples from anywhere other than Minted or Zola was no longer an option due to the samples’ delivery date. My mom and I were frantic to say the least. Lo and behold, an instagram post from the account @MunaluchiBride featured Shayla Parker Designs at the very moment I needed. Even better, she was located in Savannah, GA, the location of my wedding. I set up a consultation with Shayla and I immediately was able to breathe lighter when she explained how she could support me with not only my invitations, but day of stationary needs as well. She thoroughly explained the benefits of having a bespoke design for my wedding day and gave me a timeline of next steps if I moved forward with her. My husband and mother immediately stated that we needed her and we moved forward. Less than two weeks later, Shayla sent over the tentative invitation design for us to review based on some invitation ideas I shared with her via Pinterest. I had simple vision to possibly have velum invites, but Shayla discussed some of the pros and cons with me and she created a beautiful marble invitation that literally felt like velvet on the back. Multiple guests mentioned the texture of the invite and how incredible it was. Even moreso, when I initially discussed the vision with Shayla, I shared how I had one vision and my mom had another lol. Shayla knew from my descriptions of my mom’s vision exactly what she was going for and understood what I was going for and brought everything to life. But that’s not where the story ends. Our wedding was hybrid and we wanted to send select virtual VIPs a virtual gift box invitation. My mom and I ordered some “ok” gift bags off the internet, but Shayla spoke to me about it and let me know if I leave it to her, our virtual box would be both affordable and beautiful. And it was. And so was our day-of-stationary. She even worked with our A/V vendor to provide them access to the crest she designed for us to be used as Gobo lighting on our big day. I can’t thank Shayla enough for taking the load off during my big day. It was truly a gift to work with her.
She is the Best!!! Amazing!! Gifted!! Everything she’s designed for me has been Awesome!!!
