“Everything started in 2002 when we came to northern Sweden for the first time and started to work with sled dogs. We fell in love with these amazing animals and the beautiful landscape and after working in different places and for different tour operators, we decided in 2004 to settle in Kiruna. Another 6 years we worked for one of the oldest and biggest sleddog kennels in Kiruna, until the company was devided and we got the chance to continue with or own company as White Trail Adventures“. – Jan and Daniela, the owners of the company. We operate in an area often descriebed as “Europe´s last wilderniss” that reaches from the huge forest areas and taiga landscape around Kiruna, to the more northern tundra areas and the mountain regions around Mt. Kebnekaise and the Abisko National Park. We prefer to work with small groups, which gives us the chance to travel with our clients along routes that are “of the beaten track”. With a diverse and comprehensive range of tours, open to individual needs and wishes, we want to make the adventure “Lapland” available for everyone. So don´t hesitate to contact us for your tailor made holiday. Our homebase and kennel is located in Kauppinen / Kiruna, about 200 km above the arctic circle. We welcome our guests in a familiar atmosphere at our guesthouse “Mushers Lodge” from where our tours start. Along the trail beautifully situated, cozy wilderness camps, without running water or electricity, add alot to the spirit of the tours. Our professional guides have many years of experience with outdoor activities as dogsledding, snowmobiling, fishing and rafting. They are happy to guide you on a safe and enjoyable journey through Lapland´s nature and share their experience with you. For us the passion for sleddogs, snowmobiles, fishing and hiking – simply for being outside – is not just a job. It´s a lifestyle we choose to life! Follow us on one of our tours and you will know why! Our vision is to offer unique, nature-based experiences in “Europe’s last wilderness”, that are attractive to travellers from a broad range of backgrounds and cultures. Committing to offer a lifetime experience to our guests and the best welfare for our husky dogs, whilst leaving as little trace, disturbance and permanent impact as possible in the area we travel through, we want to insure that future generations are able to enjoy the wilderness as we do now. By using unique ways of transportation such as sleds, pulled by husky dogs, or snowmobiles, welcoming and competent guides are leading our guests through the stunning but fragile nature of Swedish Lapland. They share their knowledge about the area, traditional cultures, and lifestyles, offering an interactive, back to basic experience in which guests are constantly involved. Those who travel to us are warmly welcomed as guests, not as tourists, and we hope to inspire them through nature-based tourism to embrace sustainability.

amazing dogsledging activity with them, our guide told us everything we needed to know about the dogs and their life. I'm usually scared of dogs but these were so well-behaved that I was very comfortable with them. the feeling of sliding through the winter woods only earing the dogs' steps was incredible
A True FIVE star experience! We did not know what to expect in Kiruna, Swedish Lappland… two girls (8) and (11) and us doing a three day dogsledge tour in April. We found lot‘s of snow, happy dogs willing to pull the sledge and family friendly guides. Our girls got their own sledge and were so proud. It’s the simple and adventures life that brings happiness. Daniela and her team did an excellent job organizing everything - thanks so much!
It was great idea to ride dog sleds with White Trail Adventures! Awesome trip!! Cheers to crew and dogs :D
